Vacation Rentals in Louisiana

Defining Louisiana is no easy task. In fact, for a state that can easily be driven end-to-end in less than a day (and that includes stops for po-boys, boudin and pecan pie) we offer an amazing spectrum of diverse landscapes and cultures. In order to help our visitors navigate the byways and bayous in pursuit of adventure, entertainment and enlightenment, we've divided Louisiana in five distinct regions. Each offers its own unique set of experiences that add to our magic, mystery and charm.

In Louisiana, music is a cultural treasure. Cajun, jazz, zydeco, rockabilly, country, gospel... every region of Louisiana Vacation Rentals has its own soundtrack and its own special festivals celebrating the music for which Louisiana is known.

From the haunted plantation homes along the Mississippi to more than 4000 fairs and festivals held throughout the year celebrating our music, food and culture there's memory with your name on it.

Children love Louisiana's five regions because they find plenty of kid fun everywhere they go: Sportsman's Paradise in the north, Crossroads in the center, Cajun Country in the south, Plantation Country in the east and Greater New Orleans in the southeast.

Here is a region so steeped in its history, so connected to its French and Spanish roots that first-time visitors cannot help but liken New Orleans to many European cities. So what will you see and do here? First and foremost, the architecture will amaze you. From the magnificent hundred year old mansions along St. Charles Avenue and the Vieux Carre's colorful Creole cottages with their lacy iron balconies and secret gardens to the gothic spires of St. Louis Cathedral and the haunting marble tombs of the above ground cemeteries, the landscape reads like an epic novel, full of mystery, adventure, heartbreak and romance. Dig deeper with a visit to any number of museums, where you can learn about Marie Laveau's voodoo spells, Jean Lafite's pirate treasure, the Battle of New Orleans, and of course the Birth of the Blues. It's been said that jazz was born in New Orleans because you simply can't do this city justice with words alone.
